Good food doesn't
need to be complicated.

At Forge & Flow, we believe the best bread comes from the simplest ingredients: flour, water, salt, and time. We don't rush the process. Our doughs ferment slowly, our butter is real, and our recipes have been refined over years β€” not months.

We're a neighborhood bakery and grocery, rooted in Georgetown. Everything we make is done in small batches, by hand, right here on East State Street. If you can't find it in our shop, you probably won't find it anywhere else.

The craft behind
every loaf

01

Source

We work with regional mills and local farms. Organic flour, pasture-raised butter, seasonal fruit β€” if it's not worth buying, it's not worth baking.

02

Mix & Ferment

Doughs are mixed by hand and left to ferment slowly β€” often 24 to 72 hours. This is where flavor develops and the crumb becomes what it should be.

03

Shape & Bake

Every piece is shaped by hand. We bake in deck ovens at high heat, creating the crust and open crumb that slow fermentation earns.

Share

Fresh out of the oven, into your hands. We sell only what we make β€” no warehouse, no day-old stock. When it's gone, it's gone.
